I was looking at Dances of Universal Peace on youtube to get me in the mood for our upcoming Sufi Retreat and Dances Gathering. I found this video taken in Colorado which I find so beautiful. I have copied down the lyrics as a poem, but the music adds a lot. Even with the music it seems that watching the dance via you tube is does not hold a candle to the live experience. Nonetheless, I will add the link here so you can check it out. You can join us for Dances of Universal Peace on the last Sunday of the month from 6-8 at Bodyworks. Everyone is welcome to attend and you do not need to be a “dancer” or a “singer” to join us.

I love these dances. If you would like to find a dance near where you live, you can look it up on the web just search Dances of Universal Peace and you can click on find a dance. I lead these dances in Southern Indiana and am uncertain where you are located. They are a bit like yoga, to watch someone else do it does not convey the experience, to listen to someone else’s experience is also unsatisfactory. They move me beyond words and create such a feeling of peace and connection with others in a very safe way. I would like many more people to have the joy of experiencing them.
